Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy describes the current version of InfoHubs at infohubs.site. It explains what happens when you use our location tools and third-party maps.

Device location

We request access only after you click Find my location. If you allow access, your browser provides coordinates and an accuracy estimate. These are kept in the current page's memory to show results and prepare map links. We do not save them in a location database, local storage or cookies. Clearing the location or leaving the page removes our in-page copy.

Place names: BigDataCloud

After a successful location request, your current coordinates are sent directly from your browser to BigDataCloud to obtain available locality, city, region and country labels. The service can see your IP address and coordinates and describes using these signals to improve its geolocation data. Read its privacy policy and client-side service explanation before using this feature.

Maps and external links

Embedded maps are loaded from OpenStreetMap only after you request a location or submit coordinates to the lookup. The map URL includes coordinates, and the provider receives normal browser request information such as your IP address. Read the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. Opening Google Maps sends the chosen coordinate pair to Google under its own policies.

Sharing

A shared map link contains coordinates. It is a static link, has no expiry set by InfoHubs and can be forwarded. Your selected messaging app handles the message. We do not automatically send messages or select recipients.

Manual calculations

Distance and coordinate-conversion inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to a calculation server. Coordinate lookup loads an external map only when you submit the form.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This website uses Google Analytics to measure page visits and website usage. Google Analytics may use cookies and process browser, device and usage information under Google’s policies. No advertising code is included. Hosting providers and external services may process access logs or use their own technologies. You can restrict cookies through your browser settings.

Contact and control

If you email us, your email service and ours process the message. Do not include sensitive coordinates unless needed. You can revoke location permission in browser settings, avoid embedded maps by using the calculation tools, and clear your displayed result with Clear location.

Changes

We may update this policy when the website changes. The date above indicates the latest update. For questions, see our contact page.
